1003 pages. Oxford University Press, London, printed in the USA. Stated Second Edition 1955. Book-of-the-Month Club (BOMC). Hardback with unclipped dust jacket. NOT EX LIB. Jacket POOR. Very worn, soiled, chipped, back jacket has large tear across top edge as pictured. We have "spot taped" it together in one place on the inside to keep the ripped area from coming off completely. Covers GOOD to VG, moderate edge rubbing / bumping. Binding loosened at publisher's page with binding mesh just beginning to show, but still tightly intact. Didn't notice any annotations or highlighting. No tears, holes, and all text 100% legible. Tightly bound overall. This particular edition WITH a jacket is a bit scarce.
