On their way, he discovers that the boat is carrying contraband, and it is appropriated by McQuestion--Astrid's father--and a scoundrel. Indians, unhealthy country, difficult waters, treachery and murder, and finally explosion sounds the last detonation of disaster to the expedition. Kathleen and Rawls make their way back to civilization-and each other."

Condition:
 May have associated ex lib markings, stampings, redactions, labels, card jacket, possible removed pages with card jacket, 
occasional turndown crease, etc. This volume in Acceptable condition. Both flaps clipped. Heavy wear all the way around, binding split at covers with binding mesh showing (pictured). Occasional mark, a few loosened pages, but all pages are still present, and all text completely legible. This is a VERY SCARCE title. Photos illustrate condition of overall volume.
