SYNOPSIS: 127 pages, quarto size. Author is Mary Van Rensselaer Thayer. Subtitle: "A warm, personal lstory of the First Lady illustrated with family pictures." It is "An intimate 1961 biography detailing Jacqueline Kennedy's early childhood, education, and marriage to John F. Kennedy up to their move into the White House." The book includes a news clipping inserted, hand dated 1-18-2015 about Jackie's notes and photos in Palm Beach which had auctioned at a Florida auction for $28,400. Clipping will remain inserted.

Publisher: Doubleday & Company, Inc., Garden City and New York. 1961. Stated First Edition.

Format: Hardback with dust jacket and mylar overwrap. NOT EX LIB.

Condition: EXCELLENT. Unclipped jacket shows $4.95 retail. Mylar overwrap was apparently added by owner to protect jacket and volume, and since it is not pasted-down, it could be easily removed if desired. There are some signs of wear to the jacket including tape on front, creases, edge chipping, etc. Tweed boards has split at lower binding at first blank end page. Pages perfect with no flaws of any kind. The news clipping mentioned above will remain inserted at front cover. The b&w photos are phenomenal!

See Grading Scale page for explanation of grades. Photos of any obvious condition issues will be provided.
