SYNOPSIS:  Lot of five (5) "Popular Mechanics" magazines and one "Popular Science" magazine. See pic of tables of content to see what each issue contains. All issues are very soiled, chipped, and faded on the spines. The covers to issues themselves and inner pages are in much better condition and entirely readable. All issues may have occasional turndown creases and small corner curls.

Dates and further description beyond the above of each issue as follow:

1. May 1939 Popular Mechanics: front cover missing, back cover disbound and laid-in (pictured). No marks or tears to inner pages
2. July 1942 Popular Mechanics: The cover is in GOOD condition. Corner creasing to back portion of pages.
3. January 1943 Popular Mechanics: The cover is in GOOD condition. No marks or tears, or even any corner creases noted.
4. July 1943 Popular Mechanics: Covers in GOOD condition, beginning to loosen a bit. Pages 57/58 and 59/60 have been cut, and missing much of the text on those pages. Pages 59/60 still have pictures of M-3 tanks in northern Ireland on one side, and Germany's 88 mm. antitank gun and U.S. M-7 tank destroyer.
5. September 1943 Popular Mechanics: Cover in Acceptable to Good condition, beginning to loosen a bit.
No marks or tears, or even any corner creases noted on inner pages.
6. September 1944 Popular SCIENCE Magazine: Cover in poor condition, large horizontal rip on front cover, some kind of printed tape used to hold covers on at and bottom, which covers the name of the issue on the front. One 1.25" edge tear noted on page 91 which happens to be a full-page color drawing of the "flat-top" U.S.S. Hornet. All still intact and could be taped if desired. A few corner creases, but inner pages in good condition.

See Grading Scale page for explanation of grades. Photos of any obvious condition issues will be provided.
