Condition: Volume in Very Good condition. Bright red cloth boards with silver foil lettering & graphics, with red upper page edges. Boards have minor soiling, bumping to corners and edges. Binding split at front cover with binding mesh showing. Slightly loosening under spine cover. Inner pages yellowed with age. Owner's name and date of 1940 written on inside left front end page; an annotation written on opposite end page by someone else dating 'first time read' as 1940, and "found again in 1983 in St. Joseph, MO," reminding one of the movie "Serendipity." No other markings noted, no tears, or other flaws noted on inner pages. Quite a large volume. Photos illustrate condition of overall volume.
