SYNOPSIS:  188 pages. Illustrated period young person's book on the 1570 defeat of the Turks at the Battle of Lepanto.

Publisher: Doubleday & Company, Inc., Garden City, New York. Stated First Edition.

Format: Hardback. No dust jacket, but library-made book cover in mylar included with book. EX LIB.

Condition: Ex Lib with associated markings, stampings, redactions, card jacket, removed pages with card jacket, etc. The book cover was made by the library and covered with mylar, and was removed prior to photographing. Book will be laid-in and include book cover (pictured). Volume in Acceptable condition. Red cloth boards with gold foil lettering on spine. Boards bumped at edges, spine cover faded. Clear bookbinder's tape cover spine at inside front cover to adhere front cover to facing page. Next blank page has presentation inscription indicating from whom the book was donated to the library, dated Sept. 1961, in eraseable pencil. Inner pages may have occasional turndown crease, pot of soiling, but nothing which would obliterate any text. No markings (other than ex lib), tears, or flaws noted. Tightly bound.
Quite a scarce title. Photos illustrate condition of overall volume.
