In a series of vivid and compelling episodes, Paton explores the day-to-day experiences of a group of sharply contrasted men and women involved in and overtaken by these political events. Paton (1903-1988) was a writer and educator from South Africa; his books explain the effects of apartheid in his country. His most popular book is "Cry, the Beloved Country" from 1948.
