The 19th of mid-20th century craftsman Mason's long-running spy-thriller series featuring Army Intelligence Major Hugh North, recalled from the European Theater at the end of WWII to search for a beautiful young woman, who, during recapture of Manila from the Japanese, escaped the city with a dossier containing the names of British and American citizens who had betrayed their countries to the enemy. Major North follows a very faint trail towards Saigon where he finds himself in a race with some of the traitors who are intent on destroying the dossier and the woman who has it in her possession.
