Story was made into a successful 1947 movie starring Claudette Colbert, Fred MacMurray and Marjorie Main.

Condition:
 Good. Previous owner's name written in green ink on inside front blank flyleaf, and presentation written in very light pencil on opposite flyleaf:
 "From Bill, Xmas - 1946." Soiling to covers, dampstaining (white spots) to back boards. Foxing to endpapers, and occasional inner pages. Volume tightly bound and solid, no missing pages or other markings than those so noted above.
